Although the structure of the hydraulic pump is very different, there are many common points in the installation and use.

(1) Hydraulic pump connection precautions:

① Hydraulic pumps can be installed with standoffs or flanges, pumps and prime movers should use a common foundation standoffs, flanges and foundations should be sufficiently rigid. Special attention: flow greater than (or equal to) 160L/min piston pump, should not be installed on the tank.

② hydraulic pump and the prime mover output shaft should be connected using flexible couplings, it is strictly prohibited in the hydraulic pump shaft to install a pulley or gear drive hydraulic pump, if you have to use a pulley or gear and pump connection, then a pair of standoffs should be added to install the pulley or gear, the standoffs and the pump shaft coaxial error should be no more than Φ0.05mm.

③ The suction pipe should be as short, straight, big and thick as possible, and the suction pipe should be equipped with a coarse filter with a nominal flow rate of not less than 2 times of the pump flow rate (the filtration accuracy is generally 80~180μm). The drain pipe of the hydraulic pump should be connected directly to the oil tank, and the back pressure of the return oil should be no more than 0.05MPa. The suction pipe port and return pipe port of the oil pump should be below 200mm of the lowest oil level of the oil tank. Special attention should be paid to the fact that oil filter is not allowed to be installed on the suction pipe of the piston pump, the diameter of the shut-off valve on the suction pipe should be larger than the diameter of the suction pipe by one block, the length of the suction pipe should be L<2500mm, and there should be no more than two elbows in the pipeline.

④ Hydraulic pump inlet and outlet ports should be firmly installed, and the sealing device should be reliable, otherwise the phenomenon of air intake or oil leakage will occur, affecting the performance of the hydraulic pump.

⑤ The self-priming height of the hydraulic pump should not be more than 500mm (or the inlet vacuum should not be more than 0.03MPa). If the oil supply is provided by the charge pump, the oil supply pressure should not be more than 0.5MPa, and the pressure-resistant sealing ring should be used when the oil supply pressure is more than 0.5MPa. For piston pumps, the self-priming method of pouring should be adopted as far as possible.

⑥ Before installing the hydraulic pump, check whether the depth of the mounting hole is greater than the shaft extension length of the pump to prevent the phenomenon of top shaft, otherwise the pump will be burned.

(2) Precautions for the use of hydraulic pump:

① Hydraulic pumps should be started by tapping a few times, after the direction of oil flow and sound are normal, run at low pressure for 5 to 10min, then put into normal operation. Before starting the piston pump, the pump must be filled with clean working oil through the drain port on the shell.

② The viscosity of the oil is affected by temperature changes, oil temperature increases viscosity decreases, so the oil temperature is required to remain below 60 ° C. In order to enable the hydraulic pump to work stably at different operating temperatures, the selected fluid should have a viscosity by the temperature change of the oil temperature characteristics of the smaller impact, as well as better chemical stability, anti-foam properties. Recommended use of L-HM32 or L-HM46 (GB11118.1-94) anti-wear hydraulic oil.

③ The oil must be clean and must not be mixed with mechanical impurities and corrosive substances. Hydraulic systems without filtration devices on the suction line must be refueled to the oil tank by an oil filtering vehicle (with a filtration accuracy of less than 25μm).

④ The maximum pressure and speed of the hydraulic pump are the peak values allowed for a short period of time in use, and should be avoided for a long period of time, otherwise the life of the hydraulic pump will be affected.

⑤ The normal working oil temperature of the hydraulic pump is 15~65℃, the maximum temperature on the pump casing is generally 10~20℃ higher than the oil temperature at the inlet of the pump in the tank, and the maximum temperature on the pump casing is not more than 75~85℃ when the oil temperature in the tank reaches 65℃.
