OMS, OMT en OMV zijn geschikt voor continu gebruik onder zware bedrijfsomstandigheden: bijvoorbeeld hoge druk, dunne olie of frequente omkeringen. De kegellagers op de uitgaande as maken de motoren geschikt voor het opnemen van statische en dynamische radiale belastingen. Naast de afzonderlijk aangedreven en hydraulisch gebalanceerde schotelklep worden hydraulische en mechanische verliezen tot een minimum beperkt. Dit geeft de motoren een hoog rendement - zelfs bij hoge drukken, en goede starteigenschappen.
